SOVEREIGN SYSTEMS MASS TRACKING PLATFORM OUTPERFORMS GOOGLE, APPLE

In an attempt to assist authorities control the spread of the Novel Corona Virus, Apple, Google and other such companies are making data available to Governments to demonstrate the likely spread of the virus among communities.

In an attempt to assist authorities control the spread of the Novel Corona Virus, Apple, Google and other such companies are making data available to Governments to demonstrate the likely spread of the virus among communities.

This is commendable and useful to authorities who want to see the general spread of the population and compare, for example, the number of people using parks and public spaces to exercise, versus the same number a week ago. This gives a good idea of how the public are behaving in general and helps in building models to project the spread of the virus.

However, this data is not using GPS and is not identifying individual people. We believe the ability to accurately locate individual people (down to less than 1 metre accuracy) and track their historical movements, and identify  the people they associated with over defined periods of time, and then in turn track those people with the same accuracy, is vitally important to the task of identifying individuals known to be infected, or suspected of being infected.

We do this without identifying MSISDN (phone numbers) or IMEI/IMEI numbers, or names of the mobile phone owners. We can provide individual tracking, or mass tracking, while remaining GDPR compliant, something that neither Google, Apple, nor Facebook can do!!!

We do not need any interface with the mobile network operators, and we process millions of data-points per second! We can track EVERYBODY in a country, or just in a state or city. The decision who/where to track is user defined.

Also, there will come a time when Google, Apple and such companies, will cease making this information available and the decision when to cease providing the information is entirely up to these companies……..or is it? The US Government may have the ability to influence the provision of such information to certain countries, despite the good intentions of Google, Apple etc. The current US Administration is blaming China, Europe, the WHO and anybody else it can think of to defer responsibility for the virus devastating the USA so it would come as no surprise if it prevented this data being made available by US companies such as Google, Apple, Facebook etc.

Do we want our ability to monitor this virus in our own jurisdiction to be determined by others beyond our control? Or do we want independence over our own monitoring capability, to protect our own citizens, in this time of crisis, while still protecting the data privacy of our people?

Sovereign Systems Mobile Tracking Platform provides this independence, and is the only platform that can guarantee 1 metre accuracy GPS, no Telco interface, and GDPR compliance. Contact us below for more information.
